Tensou Sentai Goseiger (天装戦隊ゴセイジャー, Tensō Sentai Goseijā, translated as Heavenly Armament Squadron Goseiger) is the name for the 2010 Super Sentai series. Its theme is a trading card/angel motif.
In a dimension that is invisible to human eyes, called Gosei World, there are beings called Gosei Angels. They have super powers that humans do not have, called Gosei Power. Unknown to humans, they use their powers to protect the Earth and mankind from dangerous elements. To defend the Earth from the invading enemies, the Gosei Angels use a passage called the Tower of Heaven in order to travel between the surface and Gosei World.
However, a group of enemy invaders, called Warstar invades the Earth and destroys the Tower of Heaven. With the Tower destroyed, the Gosei Angels are unable to reach the surface. With no Gosei Angels, the Earth will be destroyed by these invaders. However, 5 young and immature Gosei Angels, while in disguise, were visiting the human world before the invasion and rise up against the demons to protect the Earth. They are the heroes, the Goseigers!
There are three sets of antagonists in Goseiger, collectively referred to as the Evil Spirits (悪しき魂Ashiki Tamashii?). Though all three have different origins and background, the groups use the Bibi Soldiers and Bibi Insects in their arsenal, and Buredoran (later Buredo-RUN) is a member of each group.
The show's opening theme is called Tensou Sentai Goseiger (天装戦隊ゴセイジャー). This song is composed by YOFFY and performed by NoB. You can hear the TV version at the start of the show, and the full and karaoke versions in the Tensou Sentai Goseiger Single CD. The ending theme for this show is called Gotcha☆Goseiger (ガッチャ☆ゴセイジャー). This song is composed by Takafumi Iwasaki and performed by Hideyuki Takahashi. You can hear this song at the end of the episode before the next episode preview in the TV version, and if you want to hear it all in the Tensou Sentai Goseiger Single, you can also hear the full and karaoke versions of the song. In addition to the first ending theme that is used in the first 7 episodes, a second version is introduced in Epic 8. The song is now called Gotcha☆Goseiger TYPE 2 REMIX (ガッチャ☆ゴセイジャー TYPE 2 REMIX) and it shares the same thing as the first version but, with a few changes. The 2nd version can only be heard at the end of episodes 8-11, 13, 14, 17-21, 23-27, 29, 30, 32, and 34-38. The ending song switches back to the first version in episodes 12, 15, 16, 22, 28, 31, 33, and 39 onward.

GoseiBlack is the first snake-themed Sentai Ranger.
This is the second Sentai to feature the team bearing golden armor for the chest parts of the suits. The first was Megaranger.
This is the second series with multiple sets of villains, the first being Boukenger. Unlike Boukenger, the villain groups in Goseiger replace the previous one when that groups been defeated.
They were the first Sentai team that appeared in a VS special that preceded their run as the running Sentai series of their year. They made their first appearance in the Shinkengers VS Go-ongers special in early 2010, a few weeks before the first Goseiger episode aired.
The first sentai to have a dragon mecha that is a wyvern which is a dragon with it's wings on it's forearms.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (海賊戦隊ゴーカイジャー, Kaizoku Sentai Gōkaijā; translated as Pirate Squadron Gokaiger) is the 35th season of the Super Sentai series and celebrates the 35th Anniversary of the franchise. It premiered on TV Asahi February 13, 2011, joining Kamen Rider OOO and Kamen Rider Fourze as program featured on TV Asahi's "Super Hero Time" programming block. The season's motif is
"The 34 Super Sentai who have protected the smiles of the people! They lost their powers fighting the Space Empire Zangyack, but their powers have been inherited by these unbelievable rogues!"
"These six youths who sailed across the cosmic sea in pursuit of adventure and glory! Raising their flags against Space Empire Zangyack, the brilliant men and women who take pride in being called pirates! They are..."
The Gokaigers use the "lost" powers of the 34 previous Super Sentai teams to fight the evil Universal Empire Zangyack, whose first wave of invasion forces were completely defeated by the older teams until they arrive with reinforcements and invade the Earth once more, and they must visit the past 34 teams to obtain more power to fight against the ever-determined Zangyack.
As they continue collecting more Grand Powers, the Gokai Crew run into Marvelous' ex-crewmate, Basco, who is also looking for the Greatest Treasure in the Universe, but he wants it all for himself. To that end, he betrayed his old crew and joined up with the Zangyack. He opposes the Gokaigers with his own set of Rangers Keys and his partner Sally, an monkey-like alien who can summon Giant Battle Pseudo-Lifeforms.
Eventually, Gai Ikari, an Earthling, joins the crew as the newest Gokaiger, Gokai Silver, after obtaining his gear from three former Sentai heroes (Burai, Naoto Takizawa and Mikoto Nakadai) and proving himself worthy of being a Gokaiger. As a Sentai Fanboy, his knowledge of past Super Sentai teams aids the Gokaigers in their fight against the Zangyack empire and Basco.
Mobirates - The main five Gokaiger's henshin device in the form of a cellphone.
Gokai Cellular - The henshin device of Gokai Silver in the form of a cellphone.
Gokai Buckle - The Gokaiger's Power Key storage in the form of a belt.
Gokai Sabre - A sword that each Gokaiger carries.
Gokai Gun - A pirate musket that each Gokaiger carries.
Gokai Spear - Gokai Silver's primary weapon.
Ranger Keys - Small figures that resemble the past Super Sentai heroes. The Gokaigers use these figures to take the appearance of the past Super Sentai heroes. The keys can be used with the Mobirates in order to become the past Sentai heroes to fight their enemies, as well as being compatible with GokaiOh's helms to unlock various mecha or powerups, as well as the finishers.
GokaiGalleon - Gokai Red's pirate ship mecha that also serves as the Gokaiger's ship; forms the torso and head of GokaiOh.
GokaiJet - Gokai Blue's jet mecha; forms right arm and hat of GokaiOh.
GokaiTrailer - Gokai Yellow's tractor trailer mecha; forms left leg of GokaiOh.
GokaiRacer - Gokai Green's race car mecha; forms left arm of GokaiOh.
GokaiMarine - Gokai Pink's submarine mecha; forms right leg of GokaiOh.
Legend Sentai Mecha - Mecha that is summoned from within GokaiOh by using their respective team's Ranger Keys after the Gokaigers have obtained that Sentai team's Greater Power.
MagiDragon - Secondary mecha combination from Magiranger. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Magi GokaiOh.
Patstriker - DekaRed's first personal mecha from Dekaranger. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Deka GokaiOh.
GaoLion - GaoRed's totem Power Animal from Gaoranger. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Gao GokaiOh or Shinken GokaiOh.
FuraiMaru - Combination of the FuraiHead and FuraiKnuckle Kakakuri Balls from Hurricaneger. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Hurricane GokaiOh.
Variblune - The Gorangers' original flying base. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Goren GokaiOh.
Engine Machalcon - The thirteenth & newest of the Engines from Go-Onger. Can combine with GokaiOh to form Go-On GokaiOh.
GouJyuJin - GokaiSilver's mecha; has vehicle, dinosaur, and humanoid modes. Based on the respective Greater Powers of the Timerangers, Zyurangers and Abarangers. Can loan arms to GokiOh to form GouJyu GokaiOh as a result of using all of the Abaranger Ranger Keys.
Kanzen GokaiOh - The combination of GokaiOh, GouJyuJin, and Machalcon, united from the Greater Power of the Gokaigers themselves.
Unlike most recent seasons, the episodes of this season are referred to as plainly "episodes". However, just like in Kamen Rider Decade, episodes that are tributes to the previous Sentai teams will have episode titles similiar to that particular season of Sentai (i.e. the Magiranger episode had a Magitopia spell in it, and the Dekaranger episode was in English).
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger also has soundtracks based on the show.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Single - The official single to the TV show featuring the opening theme, the ending theme, and the karaoke version of the songs. At the end of episode 4, the Gokaigers had a special promotion for the thirty viewers.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Original Album Treasure Sound Box 1 - The first original soundtrack to the TV series featuring 31 songs from the show including: Gokai Change!, the TV size version of the opening theme, and more.
The ending theme, Super Sentai Hero Getter, is an updated version of the 25th Anniversary theme, Super Sentai Tamashii. The former introduces Goranger through Gokaiger, while the latter introduced Goranger through Gaoranger. Also in the ending theme, the singers who originally sang for the more recent Sentai series’ opening theme rap the series’ line. E.g.: Yoffy of Psychic Lover rapping Dekaranger, Iwaki rapping Magiranger, NoB rapping Boukenger etc.
This season has a connection to several of the "Vs. Movies", where several cross-over characters and concepts reemerge in the series.
During most tribute episodes, when the Gokaigers transform into the respective team an instrumental version of that team's opening theme is played. The tribute episodes for Gekiranger, Jetman, Ohranger (the theme used for change in Ohranger is a Ohranger's theme, but not Ohranger's opening theme), and Battle Fever J (which was used in the movie too) are the only exceptions to this.
This is the first series to feature a Christmas themed Ranger (Gokai Christmas).
This is also the first series to feature civilians unaffiliated to the team transforming into Rangers.
The 5 core Gokaigers share many similarities to the 5 Gorangers:
Captain Marvelous is similar to Tsuyoshi Kaijou because both of them has lost someone close to them (Marvelous lost AkaRed, while Tsuyoshi Kaijou lost his brother).
Joe Gibken is similar to Akira Shinmei because both of them were the serious loners of the team.
This is the first Sentai series to have a pirate ship as a mech.
Nearly every major Sentai color was used for a tribute episode except for Green. Although three Green Legends appeared in the series, none of them were in a true tribute:
